Breakfast Club
Through the generous support of Kickstart for Kids we offer Breakfast Club to students on Monday – Thursday. This program is run by school support staff and volunteers who aim to provide a variety of healthy and interesting options for the children to try.
Preschool
We build safe, warm and supportive relationships between educators, children, and families. We plan learning around your child’s own experiences and what they bring to preschool.
Operating hours:
- Odd weeks: Monday, Tuesday
- Even weeks: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Playgroup
Playgroup operates each Thursday from 9am to 11am. Playgroup is parent-run however we provide an SSO, Peta Lovell to welcome and support parents with administration and other needs as required. Peta also works in the preschool and school having the added benefit of aiding with children transitioning to preschool.
Playgroup sessions feature a variety of organised activities that children can choose to move between, healthy snack time, reading time and singing. Special events and activities are also arranged at different times throughout the year.
We are currently in the process of extending and developing the enclosed outdoor play area to resemble a mini town with a mud kitchen, shop fronts, bike track and road signs.
OSHC
Since 2018 Mallala Primary School offers an Out of School Hours Care service provided by Happy Haven. This service includes both before and after school and vacation care programs.

Whether it’s engaging activities, exciting recipes, or educational content, we offer something to involve every child.
